Time to Reflect
December 30, 2010 7:00:00 AM ESTAs the year draws to a close, it is a time to look backward as well as forward, taking a few minutes to focus on the past year to remember the highs and lows to and ask yourself some thoughtful questions that might make 2011 an even more successful and rewarding year:
What strengths have I seen in myself and have I built upon them in my daily life? Think about your personal attributes that make you a better more effective person at work and at play. Examples might be: listening skills, problem solving, patience, attention to details etc.
What things have I left undone and want to finish? i.e. projects like painting or cleaning, conversations, contributions, or fixing something that you use each day, but needs repair.
What things have I been putting off? i.e. medical appointments, financial planning, thank you notes or e-mails, or making an effort to mend a broken friendship.
What have I done to make the world a better place? i.e. volunteered, donated, voted, cleaned-up after my pet, or recycled as much as possible.
What have I done for myself to make me healthier and happier? i.e. exercised, ate a healthy, well-balanced diet, enjoyed laughing, found healthy ways to manage stress, or stayed in touch with good friends and family.
As you consider these questions, you may want to add some of your own. When you’ve finished answering them (truthfully!), you might want to make a list of New Year’s “priorities”. Set goals for yourself that are reasonable and achievable. Perhaps take on just a few for the first quarter of the year before adding more. You can change your life in small ways that are meaningful and will give you a great sense of satisfaction.
Your first “priority” should be your own health. Remember to take good care of your skin and hair with the all-natural, aloe vera products from Key West Aloe. Give yourself the highest quality skincare and hair products in the New Year and you will look and feel your best. Here’s wishing you health, prosperity and lots of aloe vera in 2011!
